People are drooling over Panda Express’s orange chicken burrito, and for obvious reasons. The ingenious food hybrid combines your undying love of sweet and crunchy orange chicken and portable, on-the-go burritos with all the fillings. OK, so it’s technically a “wrap” that’s part of Panda Express’s innovation kitchen menu. You choose your base (chow mein noodles, fried rice, white rice, brown rice, salad greens, or scallion pancake) and then add your choice of meat, which includes orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. From there, you can also add sauces like sweet and sour and crunchy components like pickled cucumbers or crispy shallots. Basically, it’s everything you love about Panda Express, all wrapped up into one meal with each item in every bite. If you weren’t craving Chinese food already, we bet you are now. And if you can’t wait to try the burrito ASAP, we suggest asking if your Panda Express features the sought-after innovation menu.

Your favorite chefs are finding some downtime between all the cooking and eating at this year’s South Beach Wine and Food Festival, and this sweet snap of Guy Fieri and Ayesha Curry makes us wish we were the third friend at their pool party. Guy posted this selfie of him and Ayesha hanging out in Miami, writing, “Killin it #sobewff style.” While we can’t get over how perfectly the photo defines friendship goals, there’s one thing we’re obsessing over even more: Ayesha’s swimsuit.
Crushing it like the queen she is, the The Seasoned Life cookbook author is eating a slice of pepperoni pizza while wearing a pizza swimsuit that we all need in our lives. Thankfully, the swimsuit is available for purchase online so the other pizza babes of the world can rock it, too. Ayesha’s red one-piece swimsuit with “pizza” written in white across the chest appears to be the pizza suit by Private Party, which you can shop below. It might only be March, but we can’t wait to channel our inner Ayesha by wearing this swimsuit all Summer long while eating pizza by the pool.
We’re beyond excited for the premiere of Bill Nye Saves the World on Netflix and for one reason in particular: Alton Brown makes a guest appearance.
In the trailer for Bill Nye’s new show, out April 21, we get a glimpse of fellow science geeks Alton and Bill up to something in a laboratory setting. As they toss their heads back in cackles of laughter, mysterious liquids in hand, we can only imagine what they’re concocting. If this episode is anything like a hybrid between Alton’s Eat Your Science tour and Bill’s classic performances, we’re in for a wild ride.
This news comes on the heels of Alton Brown’s announcement that Good Eats is returning, kind of. The Food Network host is bringing back a show similar to Good Eats but called something different and available only online. In a tease to his fans, Alton mentioned his relationship with Bill Nye — once calling him his “hero” — admitting, “I’m not the Bill Nye of food. He is way smarter and has more bow ties than I do.”

Whether Alton is the Bill Nye of food or not, there’s no denying that the reunion between the two is exciting. We’re ready for a lesson in nitrogen, crazy chemical reactions, and whatever other educational recipes these two have up their lab-coat sleeves.
Food nerds, unite! Watch the full trailer below.
It seems that images of the new live-action Beauty and the Beast movie are everywhere, and we couldn’t be more excited. And now we can obsess over our favorite childhood movie while enjoying our favorite comfort: tea.
English tea company Twinings has debuted special-edition Beauty and the Beast packaging on some of its herbal tea blends, and it’s sure to bring a smile to any Disney-lover’s face.
The Lemon and Ginger tea features Emma Watson as Belle in her blue dress, while Belle in her iconic yellow dress adorns the packaging of the Camomile, Honey, and Vanilla flavor. The Pure Peppermint tea features the famous scene of Belle and the Beast dancing. Lastly, the Orange and Cinnamon Spice Tea features our favorite teapot, Mrs. Potts. Luckily for us, the teas will be available in the US in leading grocery stores and specialty stores until December of this year.
We can’t wait to get our hands on these adorable boxes and get even more excited to see Emma Watson play our favorite Disney princess. Keep reading to get a closer look at each tea in the collection.
If you order a chicken sandwich at Subway, you’re not eating exactly what you think you’re eating. In a shocking investigation, a CBC Marketplace analysis of poultry from six popular grilled chicken and sandwich wraps found that the chicken at Subway isn’t entirely made of chicken. A DNA researcher at Trent University Wildlife Forensic DNA Laboratory tested the meat and found that the “oven-roasted chicken” was only 57 percent chicken, while the “chicken strips” contained only 43 percent chicken. The rest of the meat was made up of mostly soy.
When you buy chicken from the grocery store, you’re most likely eating a product with 100 percent chicken DNA. According to the study, that percentage decreases when the meat is processed, seasoned, or marinated, making it likely that most fast food chicken contains a lower percentage of chicken DNA. However, other fast food chains’ chicken offerings scored significantly higher on the tests than Subway. McDonald’s Country Chicken scored 85 percent, A&W’s Chicken Grill Deluxe 89 percent, Tim Horton’s Chipotle Chicken Grilled Wrap 87 percent, and Wendy’s Grilled Chicken sandwich 89 percent.
Subway responded to the investigation disagreeing with the findings and claiming that the company’s chicken recipe “calls for one percent or less of soy protein.” The popular chain has assured customers that it will “look into this again with our supplier to ensure the chicken is meeting the high standard we set for all our menu items and ingredients.”

Chef Hugh Acheson dares to tackle a subject many in the food scene have avoided or ignored, the modest slow cooker, and he’s writing an entire cookbook devoted to the subject. On his Instagram, he shared a few pictures of himself editing drafts of this new cookbook, entitled The Chef and the Slow Cooker ($30). As someone who slow-cooks often and relies on a strange mix of blogger recipes, out-of-print cookbooks, and my own guestimations, I’m very much looking forward to learning proper techniques and reliable recipes from an acclaimed chef! Though we’ll have to wait until Oct. 17 to get our hands on a copy, the description of the cookbook sounds promising.

The book will contain 100 “convenient” slow-cooker recipes “with a chef’s twist.” We can expect elevated recipes like brisket with soy, orange, ginger, and star anise and pork shoulder braised in milk with fennel and raisins. Chef Acheson also delves into unexpected uses for the slow cooker, like poaching eggs (and holding them to serve at a party) and slow-cooking a ramen broth. Beyond the savory, the cookbook will include sweet stuff too like jams, preserves, and desserts.

It’s shaping up to be quite the impressive year for Easter candy, thanks to Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs and now Chocolate Crunch and Creme Mini Cadbury Eggs. The newest candy eggs, spotted at Target by Instagram user candyhunting, are made with “white candy and cookies with a crisp sugar shell.” Basically, these are a mini version of the UK- and Canada-exclusive Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs, but they’re even more exciting because they’re available in the US. If you prefer the miniature versions of everything, this tiny sweet treat has your name written all over it. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for this Target-exclusive offering, and we’ll be sure to keep our ears open for even more potential new Cadbury creations. If the collaborations so far between Oreo and Cadbury – who are both owned by Nabisco – are any indication, this isn’t the last mashup between the two, and we can’t wait for the next.

McDonald’s just announced that it’s releasing a special, limited-edition milkshake straw, specifically designed for enjoying the company’s new Chocolate Shamrock Shake. The J-shaped straw includes three holes so the drinker of the milkshake can enjoy both the chocolate and mint layers of the beverage in a single sip. These specialized items will only be available at certain locations at specific times, and McDonald’s has released a list of how to get your very own STRAW.
